Do I need therapy?

Good question!

Therapy can be accessed for many different reasons including managing mental health symptoms, coping with everyday stressors, improving our overall health/wellness, improving relationships, making life decisions or changes, exploring ourselves or our next steps. It can used to improve your functioning or improve your life.

Signs you could benefit from therapy:

You feel stressed/upset often

You get frustrated easily

Your normal coping tools aren’t working

Your relationships are suffering

Your work is suffering

You are struggling to parent the way you want to

You have a traumatic experience

Your life feels out of balance

You feel burnt out and like you want to give up

Your friends/family are telling you to go to therapy

You want to make a change and need support

You want to explore your identity and who you want to become

You want to make life better

Individual therapy is tailored to YOU and what YOU are needing. It can be short bursts or for long periods of time. It can be weekly, biweekly or even monthly for maintenance.

You get to decide if and when you go to therapy.
